Web design is the skill of creating presentations of content (usually hypertext or hypermedia) that is delivered to an end-user through the World Wide Web, by way of a Web browser or other Web-enabled software like Internet television clients, microblogging clients and RSS readers.
The process of designing Web pages, Web sites, Web applications or multimedia for the Web may utilize multiple disciplines, such as animation, authoring, communication design, corporate identity, graphic design, human-computer interaction, information architecture, interaction design, marketing, photography, search engine optimization and typography.

Web pages and Web sites can be static pages, or can be programmed to be dynamic pages that automatically adapt content or visual appearance depending on a variety of factors, such as input from the end-user, input from the Webmaster or changes in the computing environment (such as the site’s associated database having been modified).
With growing specialization within communication design and information technology fields, there is a strong tendency to draw a clear line between web design specifically for web pages and web development for the overall logistics of all web-based services.

    Freelance

    Extra:

    Google AdSense Tutorials, Tips

After researching quite a bit to understand Google AdSense and how to best implement and optimize AdSense contextual ads for several Web sites, I’m not at all surprised to see that a major key to generating revenue with AdSense contextual ads is the critical importance of interesting, keyword rich content and solid search engine optimization. Great content helps to draw visitors to your site, which in turn brings in the traffic to help your site generate revenue. Optimizing your site for AdSense helps AdSense serve appropriate contextual ads. SEO, SEM, of course, can help your site show up on the first page of search engine results. They all work together.

I was also struck by the tremendous volume of “how to get rich quick” schemes using Google AdSense. If you’ve done any ‘Google AdSense’ searches or other searches for how to monetize your website, you’ve already seen what I mean.

The good news is that the Google AdSense section below provides annotated links to truly helpful information about Google AdSense, monetizing your site using AdSense, and how to make money with AdSense. Within this section you’ll find links to official Google AdSense information, tutorials on optimizing AdSense and your sites for maximum results, helpful AdSense tutorials, AdSense for blogs, AdSense arbitrage, AdSense case studies, AdSense tools, such as blocking MFAs (Made for AdSense sites) and ad tracking tools, online forums on AdSense, and Web sites and blogs that cover AdSense and other affiliate programs.

See also Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) here at WebsiteTips.com.

Do you have suggestions, recommendations for helpful, insightful AdSense tutorials, information, AdSense tools, blogs, books, or other resources? Recommendations and suggestions are welcome and appreciated! We’ll also thank you by adding a credit link to your site (only with your OK), of course.

    • Google AdSense: eCPM Trends August 2007
Extremely insightful forum discussion thread with posters commenting on their AdSense earnings trends — many finding a noticeable shift in their earnings late July, beginning of August 2007 – positive and negative. Of note, posted by ‘cline’, 03 August, 2007, 4:25pm:

There has been a change on the advertiser side. Advertisers now have access to the “Placement Report” with data going back to 1 June 07. We’ve run these reports on all of our clients’ accounts and have identified many content network sites that underperform. We block these. Also, many accounts are now in the CPC site targeting beta. We’ve moved high-performing sites into CPC site targeting and lowered content network bids for non-targeted sites. If many advertisers are doing what we’re doing, CPC bids on the median sites should go down while the CPC bid average remains the same. A few sites should be experiencing big increases, while the average site experiences decreases.

While you will read everywhere that earnings will fluctuate, this is an especially interesting, insightful forum discussion. • To Filter or not to Filter: Google says I filter too much…
Discussion of Google’s Optimization Team’s monthly optimization report that always seems to tell everyone to reduce the number of filters in their competitive ad filter. Discusses using competitive ad filters for low-paying ads and MFAs, not just for competitors. Excellent tips on using an Excel spreadsheet:

Keep track of your filter list in an Excel sheet. Upon entering look up once other relevant information, e.g. registrant or target IP address. Then determine whether these guys are annoying, bad or really bad. ;-) When you run out of space, throw out the annoying ones first. If you still need more space, have a look at the bad ones’ Alexa charts. Often, from the chart you can already see whether they are still actively advertising (in this case you see a spike in traffic). Then you may be able to release the sites in question as well. Never release the really bad sites. They will keep on advertising. Maybe they are just pausing their campaigns and do the domain-switch thing…

    An AdSense Case Study

    • In the Beginning… (pt1 of 3)
Part 1 of this 3-part case study introduces a brand new project site at the time of this first post, Ringtone-Search blog. Plans to write about how to create a site that’s interesting for visitors, optimized for search engines, and optimized for AdSense. Plans and topics for the case study include: studying the markets and selecting topics, selecting the right blogging platform for the job, keywords in domain name – do they matter, sandboxing, geo-location issues, relying on quality content vs. link/publicity campaigns, search engine traffic vs. other sources of traffic, and ad positioning. Whether a brand new site or an existing site, this 3-part study can provide plenty of helpful insight. Part 2 gives a status update and search engine results after a few weeks and Part 3 gives plenty of helpful AdSense insight. Well worth the time to read all 3 parts of the case study and visit the project site for yourself. [Article/tutorial dated 04/08/2006, by 2k, for SEOMoz Blog.]
    • The Project: …There Was Silence – About Google SandBox And Geo-location Issues (pt2 of 3)
Part 2 of this 3-part case study is written after the new Ringtone-Search blog site has been online a few weeks (see the part 1 description directly above). He’s submitted the site to a few directories but has primarily relied on natural linking and the 10 or 11 articles written to that point – and the articles were written for interest to visitors while also targeting specific keyphrases for search engines and AdSense. Blog post also provides a spreadsheet screenshot showing the status of keyword phrases and search engines to that point and his thoughts about where things stand to that point. Helpful insight. See Part 3 for AdSense optimizing and insight, too (described directly below). [Article/tutorial dated 04/25/2006, by 2k, for SEOMoz Blog.]
    • The Project: Generating AdSense Revenue From Low Traffic Site (pt3 of 3)
Part 3 of this 3-part case study, tutorial discusses methods to increase AdSense revenue for low traffic sites by utilizing limited assets more efficiently. The project site, Ringtone-Search, at the time of the post is about 2 months old, has about 150-200 unique visitors per month from search engines and about 300-400 unique visitors per month from other sources. Covers both theory and practice on:

      • how to improve the price per click factor, including insight on how to target content for specific high-paying keywords and how to write content for high quality, niche markets
      • how to improve click count, including insight on placing focus on ad positioning and writing content that attracts users in buyer mode

[Article/tutorial dated 06/10/2006, by 2k, for SEOMoz Blog.]

    • The Project: Generating AdSense Revenue From Low Traffic Site – the Sequel
Three months after writing the initial post in this series, In the Beginning… (pt1 of 3), 2k writes a follow-up that includes using the data collected about user behavior. Data is from Web server log files, a log of AdSense clicks, and information on how much each AdSense click generated. “When you take a combination of these and drill down from a specific angle, you get lots of valuable information – like what pages are the best performers in terms of clicks, what ROI each keyword has, etc. When looking at information like this, it doesn’t take much imagination to find out new means and methods to make the site even more successful and profitable.” Helpful insight here. Disclosure Regarding Affiliate Programs

[*note] Links thus marked are to sites for which WebsiteTips.com has signed up for an affiliate program – such as Trellian’s Keyword Discovery, Wordtracker, and Aaron Wall’s SEO Book.

Since WebsiteTips.com already had links to their sites anyway and because they have strong reputations for being good, worthwhile products, WebsiteTips.com’s owner, editor went ahead and signed up for their affiliate programs late summer of 2007.

    • WebsiteTips.com had links to these sites prior to signing up for these affiliate programs.
    • WebsiteTips.com and its owner don’t get paid anything for:
      • including any of the affiliate program links at WebsiteTips.com.
      • listing these sites at WebsiteTips.com.
      • anyone clicking on the affiliate program links.
    • WebsiteTips.com and its owner do get an affiliate payment if and only if someone signs up for the affiliate product within a short time period after visiting those sites from the links on this page.
    • WebsiteTips.com continues to add ONLY quality resources, regardless of the above affiliate programs that comprise only a handful of links out of our 2,500+ resources.
    • Like any other helpful resources, Websitetips.com continues to add new annotated resources discovered that we feel would be helpful to visitors, whether or not they are related to our very short list of affiliate programs.
    • Affiliate text links anywhere at WebsiteTips.com that aren’t otherwise clearly noted as an ad or a sponsor are duly noted with the above [*note] link.
    • In addition, effective 04 November, 2007 all affiliate links now permanently include rel="nofollow" tags, a recently added requirement to Google’s Webmaster Guidelines for “paid links.”

Well known anti-spammer tool that is basically cross-compatible with
almost 99.9% plugins out there for wordpress from comments to
    submissions of articles etc.

Pros : Works dam well , Updates like almost every week becoming stronger

Cons : Sometimes is over-aggressive from time to
time and may flag one of your viewer’s comments if they post a long or
    strange URL link

1 The 20 Best Wordpress plugins on the net

    DropCap First Charachter

This is a very neat plugin I found while surfing the web , Basically
it takes the first letter in your article and makes it bigger by
    5-folds ala magazine style.

Pros : Works automatically , No configuration needed just install and activate

Cons : Configuration may need some manual editing of the css style sheets to get to perfection

2 The 20 Best Wordpress plugins on the net

    iF AJAX Comments For WordPress

This is one of my truly favorite plugins I found while diggin around
the net for useful plugins that add more style to one’s wordpress. It
basically adds comments using Ajax without having the need to refresh
the website , It also lets you customize what kind of animation you
would like your viewers to see while they are waiting to submit a
    comment.

Pros : Very cool , Will attract more users for sure , Very customizable

Cons : Haven’t thought of any yet , the author of this plugin is very fast to reply to your concerns.

    Register Plus

Next up is a awesome MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE using wordpress is called Register Plus , this nifty plugin lets you customize your register form to the fullest extent ! It also features custom fields as well as included Re-Captcha for anti-spam.
I almost forgot to mention you can also include a Disclaimer or Privacy
Policy in which you can make the users required to agree upon prior to
completing registration. I personally love this thing to death because
it lets you customize your wordpress further into a viable CMS option.

Pros : VERY useful , Adds versatility that will make your wordpress standout from the crowd

Cons : May be difficult if you want to customize it further than the options on the admin page

4 The 20 Best Wordpress plugins on the net

    Role Manager

Role manager is a plugin that will make or break your site if your
site depends on multiple users registering and submitting articles and
other similar errands through your Wordpress Backend. To sum
it all up , this plugin will set permissions up so that a User will
only be able to see the plugins you want them to or Don’t want them to
    see
, as well as allowing them to edit or manage their own
articles. You definitely have to give it a try to see what I’m talking
    about.

Pros : Extremely customizable and secure , Geared towards multiple user oriented sites.

Cons : May be a bit overwhelming at first to look at the hundreds of possible options you can setup for each user (role)

with your site while help promote it at the same time. Has the fancy
buttons such as digg , delicious , technorati etc.

Pros : Many buttons , You can customize it so you can add new ones but most likely you won’t have to as there are like 80+ buttons.

Cons : Making a new button is tedious work. I’m too lazy for that

6 The 20 Best Wordpress plugins on the net

    Thumbnail For Excerpts

This is a crafty plugin because it let’s your wordpress become more like a magazine type of website
as it automatically creates a plugin of any picture that is in your
post and aligns it accordingly in your Excerpts page. This picture
should help you understand what I’m talking about. I personally use

Thankfully a breathe of fresh air is here to relieve you of your
boredom. It’s called the Multibox and it is quite dynamic and easy on
the eyes in comparison to the regular Lightbox. This is really worth
    the look TRUST ME.

Pros : Very efficient coding , uses MooTools Framework , All pictures have tags attached automatically so they will have the effect !

Cons : May not play nice with other plugins

you to integrate google-maps into wordpress once you have attained your
api key from Google , So that when you write an article , under the
advanced tabs you can add an address that will be searched by google
maps , You can also customize how far you want the address to be zoomed
upon as well as if you want your users to be able to scroll in or out
or if the map is locked.

Simple Tags is a basic yet powerful plugin for wordpress
, It lets you use your own custom tags and remembers them so that you
can double click and drag and drop words that associate to your
articles. It integrates itself into the core wordpress system
, more specifically the tags portion of it. Once you build a database
that is the bare minimum I suggest trying the cloud widget that is
included to show your readers the more popular articles that you
associated with. You have to try it.

    - 分類A
(Form to email)
(Form to email)

    - 分類A
    - 分類A
(Member System)

    財政獨立﹝Financially_Independent﹞是很多人的夢想。
